DTLR, one of the country’s most successful lifestyle retailers with over 245 stores in 19 states, will team up with Teens Exercising Extraordinary Success (T.E.E.S.), DyedDown.com, Headliner Market Group, and House of Wings to hand out 20,000 pounds of fresh produce and 200 turkeys to local families in Raleigh NC.

The food giveaway, which is part of DTLR’s Season’s Feedings initiative will provide families in need with fresh nutritious produce and turkeys just in time for Thanksgiving. Season’s Feedings is all about ensuring that those less fortunate can have fresh produce, turkeys, and other much needed staple items during this holiday season.

In 2019, our organization successfully served over 1,500 families in Miami, providing them with over 15,000 pounds of fresh produce, turkeys, and essential items. Building on this achievement, in 2022, we extended our impact, distributing over 20,000 pounds of fresh produce, 5,000 pounds of turkeys, and catered meals to families in need.

However, the pressing need in the RDU community remains significant, underscored by alarming statistics about food insecurity in North Carolina in North Carolina. 1 out of every 10 living in Wake County is food insecure; 1,503,050 people are struggling with hunger - and of them 461,630 are children; North Carolina ranks the 10th hungriest state in the nation. These figures emphasize the urgency of our mission and the crucial need for support.
